Trees for Health

Trees for Health project aims at enabling schools grow trees on their periphery and provide a self-sustaining source of firewood. Money previously spent on firewood can now be invested in de-worming programmes, ensuring hygiene-sanitation standards are maintained in the school environment and other needs.
The Trees for Health programme aims at
- Re-forestation
- Encouraging schools to grow their own firewood within the school boundaries
- Generated/ saved funds used for basic preventive health needs of the school children
- Directly involving children in the tree planting process from hole preparation to care and management of the tree, hence an environmental conscious generation
