Give children a healthier platform to start from – allow them not to have to compete for nutrients with worm!
Build children’s immunity systems. De-worm them regularly – let them not compete for nutrients!
And oh! de-worming is so inexpensive!
It was identified by AAR medical teams, when out on school health camps in less privileged schools, that the majority of the children they were seeing for other ailment were suffering from severe worm infestation. Many of the children were anaemic, others were malnourished, typical consequences of parasitical infestation. AAR took up the challenge to set up a programme whereby children could be freed of the impediment which stops them performing both academically and physically. It set up the school de-worming programme. In the meantime it is being ascertained that 35% to 48% children living in disadvantaged conditions are infested with worms (Re Kenya: AAR GWH Laboratory and Lancet Laboratory)
