School children de-worming

Worm infestation in school children has been noted during several health camps carried out by AAR. This is a negative coexistence that has far-reaching health and socio-economic consequences especially to the children. Severe worm infestation may result to anemia and malnutrition, which in turn results to lack of concentration in class, exercise intolerance among others.

In line with achieving the Millennium Development Goals, AAR Beckmann Trust looks into controlling the problem through regular bi-annual de-worming in schools which will help improve the academic output of the children.

Such programme would be financed with the savings generated through the sustainable energy system created by the planting of trees. Any remaining monies to be used for other essential health requirements such as access to proper sanitation and clean water among others.
